About Me
Hi my name is Monique Lewis. After working in healthcare for over 20+ years as a Medical Laboratory Technician, I became dedicated and motivated by a new journey. My new path encouraged me to set forth continuous effort to continue to give back to the community in the capacity of educating our youth. I graduated from Neumann University approximately two years ago with my BS in Liberal Studies. And returned after deciding to pursue my master's degree in education with a focus on Special Education. As a graduate student of early elementary school education, I plan to focus on the needs of the community in educating and providing early childhood resources and interventions to students, while integrating the arts into the curriculum as well. I would like to provide services to children PK- fourth grades and imagine implementing a homelike environment that will be the perfect place for children to laugh, play, grow, and begin the foundation of critical reading and writing skills geared towards engaging students in learning that connects the art and other subject areas. It is my goal to advocate and implement interventions and resources that support the growth and development of educational, and intellectual social growth and development skills in students.
